November 10, 2000- The Election. (What else)
Well, I know it has
been awhile since I posted on here but, I gotta work 25 hours a fucking
day in order to have money left for me after I get raped on my taxes.
I spent the week before last in Forida, and this last week in L.A.
I am spending next week in Las Vegas for Comdex. Yeah, it's
a tough life but someone has to do it. :)
Enough of my sob story though, what the fuck is with this election? I do not even know where to begin here. Lets start out with this shit in order. First, we have the commicrats bitching that the ballot in Palm Beach is confusing. Next we have a recount going and Bush is still ahead in Florida, and a load of absentee ballots that are not in. We have 19,000 ballots through out because of being filled out imporperly. Then we have allegations that the democrats in Milwaukee WI paid homeless people to vote by giving them cigarettes and booze and counts of people getting more than one ballot. We have count descripencies in New Mexico and questions in Oregon. Then we have CNN and other news organizations making predictions about the election based on returns from the eastern states, and possibly effecting the voters in the west.
All I gotta say is GIMME A

We have all by now seen the ballot in question in Florida. Geez, it looks pretty simple to me. It was approved by both patries and I bet it is very similar to other ballots on other states. If you are too stupid to be able to understand that ballot, you are too stupid to vote. You are probably too easily confused and dumb to drive as well so, hand over your car keys. As for the commicrats buying votes with smokes and booze, I would love to see this be true! I mean, this is just the kind of win-at-all-costs type thing that Gore (A clinton flunkie), would do. Just like that shit about George W. Bush's drunk driving arrest like 24 years ago. First, it was 24 years ago and who gives a shit. Second, drunk driving in the 70's was like speeding. You pay a fine and are on your way. I have had family members get busted for drunk driving in the late 70's and early 80's and back then, it was a non-crime.
With respect to the balltos that are thrown out, this happens all the time. What should this be any different?
As for all these miscounts, think of this. These elections have been pretty much the same for a long time. Have all the previous elections been subject to these errors? Are we going to make every state jump through hoops and recount every vote? Also, I really doubt that you can count millions of votes, by hand of otherwise, and end up with the same number twice. There is a certain inherint error in this process here. I would suspect you would get better reliability by machines counting. Machines do not get tired after 30 hours of counting and begin to see things.
I say the recount is enough. Both counts show Bush in the lead. How many recounts shall we do? I think the allegations of buying votes from bums should be investigated, but I do not think we should hold up the progression of the american electoral system by this. Bush wins, so, he is the pres. If we let all these little annoying things bog this down, this will never end. Think about how long this could really draw out?. If we scrutinize every vote in every state for this election, what it to keep us from doing it to the next election when someone looses and just does not think they should have? What about past elections? Did Carter in 1976 really win by such a small margin over Ford, or should we recount it? Also, think about how much of out TAX money is being wasted on all this bullshit. If the end comes and Gore really is the looser, is he going to pay back all this cost? No, he's a winy little bitch that does not want to loose, and just like Clinton did with the Lewinsky case, Gore is going to twist every syllabe of every word until it means what he wants it to mean? You remember that shit from Clinton don't you? Define the word "Sex". Define the word "is". I think the leader of the most powerful country on the planet should know what the words "sex" and "is" mean. Like I said before, Gore is just Clinton's flunky and is resorting to all the same underhanded snealky ass bullshit tactics.
The DOW and the Nasdaq have been going berzerk (mostly down) the last few days because of this. All this bitching about ballots and recounts are financially hurting this country. If it does not come to an end, it could get worse. Imagine if a small recession came about because of this vote bullshit? I mean, like would that be any good for the country? Or the world even? Russia, Saddam Hussein, the French, all those losers are laughing at us. The Great Democracy indeed.
Screw it all. It is not a
perfect system but it is the best system we have and the better than any
other system in the world. (Except for maybe Italy where regular people
by law serve the government for a few years and there are few career politicians).
We should take the results and continue onward. After all, I have
had enough of of Clinton and the sooner he is out the better.
